Venice, the Italian city of water ways and festivals, masquerades and balls. The city of romance and life but beneath the joviality and parties lay darker things. Vampires roam the night and lycanthropes howl at the moon. Do you dare take residence?

Since his little run in with Gaelen and Killian's reaction to it Patrick had been keeping close to the house not wanting to get himself into any more trouble than he already had. Which mean outside of work he didn't really go anywhere alone. It was starting to drive him up a wall. He wasn't made of glass and could still make smart decisions. Days off seemed the worse though. Hours spent puttering aorund watching movies or working on the bike that still sat outside next to the garage.

After an hour he finally gave up and tossed together a short note and pinned it to the front of the fridge before grabbing his jacket and high tailing it out of the house heading to the shop that was on park lands. He figured no one would say anything if he at the very least stayed on pack lands to do his shopping. He hummed under his breath taking a deep breath of air and basking in the bright light that was warming up the slightly chilly morning. After a moment he tugged his ipod out and stuck the ear phone into his ears.

It wasn't a very long walk and seemed even short with music drowning out the noise of the people slowly started to fill the streets. He kept his eyes open and made sure to keep a good distance between himself and anyone else as he headed into the shop pulling out his list and glancing wondering where he should start first.

Killian didn't feel bad about how he'd reacted to the entire situation. He felt he had every right. After all, Patrick was his mate and he was naturally possessive. It remained that he didn't care about Gaelen's reasons. Nor did he care about how pure the intention was. The fact remained that he'd intimately touched Patrick. Something no one should do, no matter what the reason. Though part of him was grateful that it had been Gaelen as opposed to the other snake that he'd killed.

He did however feel bad that Patrick had cooped himself up in and around the house. He'd only asked that he stayed away from Gaelen. When the wolf thought about it, he guessed the only real way to do that was to stay upon the pack lands. In that sense, he was grateful his mate had listened. Even if it had cost him whatever social life he had.

In the meantime, Killian had busied himself with training. Tons and tons of training. He was worn out and had requested a break from it all. Surprisingly, Rebecca had been rather understanding about the entire matter. Now, he found himself at the pack shop, needing something to quiet his sweet tooth. Before he knew it, he ran smack dab into another wolf. He was pleased when it was Patrick and almost instantly he was pulling his mate to him in a hug. "Hey..." he murmured.

He was into his list enough that he had noticed another wolf so familiar to his own had entered. Eyes drifted from his list and he stuffed the list into his pocket as he set off in a random direction. He'd do the stupid form of shopping and grab stuff that caught his eye. He was standing at the corner of the chips aisle when someone bumped into him He twisted trying to see who it was and instantly got tugged into a pair of arms. His own went up and he had the thought to get away before the scent of who it actually was hit him. He smirked slightly and tugged Killian closer brushing his lips against Killian's cheek before unwinding himself and taking a step back.

"Thought you had training with Becca today?" He shoved his hands in his pockets feeling the list crinkle up as his hand moved next to it. His head tilted to the side as he looked at Killian. Not that he didn't want to see the younger wolf he just knew that training took up alot of his time anymore. Which was why he had been going out of his mind when he was home. More often than not he was home alone. If Killian was training that meant that Becca was out there somewhere with him. Made for lots of movie nights by himself.

After a moment he tugged one of Killian's hands into his own and made his way to the exit. "f you don't have training then the rest of your day belongs to me." He smirked as he headed off knowing that Killian wouldn't protest to much. He had to miss Patrick as much as he had missed Killian. The shopping could be finished later. Outside of the store he wiggled his fingers trapping Killian's fingers within the hold of his own. "So how did you get out of training today anyhow?"

Killian felt the attempted twist, but didn't care at the moment. He was just glad to be with his mate once again. It seemed like ages since they had been together and saying that he missed Patrick was more than an understatement. Killian had craved his touch the way a baby craved a bottle. It was an intensity that seemed to consume him. The brush of lips had him rumbling quiet, man and beast finally content. However, when Patrick pulled himself back, a brief frown worked its way on to his face before he was taken with the question.

Training with Becca. While he loved his Ulfric dearly, the training was too tiring. Trained ears picked up on the crinkle of paper as Patrick stuffed his hands within his pockets. Clearly he had some sort of list with him that had been put away. "I did," he said, unable to help the grin that appeared on his face. He had been honest with Becca, but there were other reasons. Such as missing his mate. One day and at night wasn't enough time.

Before another moment could be spared, Killian found himself being lead to the exit by his mate. The words that left Patrick's lips had him chuckle softly. He supposed it was a good thing no plans had been made. Then again, his main reason for asking for a break was the male who's hand was currently wrapped in his own, fingers twined like the lovers they were. "I just told her that I was tired and wanted to see you," the wolf said honestly.

He nodded at Killian's words bumping his shoulder against the younger wolf's as he lead them out of the shop and into the bright day light that was outside. He blinked for a moment having to readjust to the new level of light before he kept leading them away from the shop. Alone time with Killian was a great idea and one he was going to put into action. He glanced over curious as he kept his hands in Killian's. "How long was training going to take you? Least till you can cut back some?"

He had gotten the impression that training like the kind that Killian was doing would take years before he was totally finished but he knew eventually his mate would be able to cut back some and have more free time that Patrick could claim. The longer they walked the farther away from everyone else they got and the more Patrick relaxed.Being around Killian always seemed to put him at ease. "So no plans huh? What do you think about spending all day in bed watching movies and eating junk food?" He grinned over at Killian waiting for for him to answer.

A smile came to his lips at the shoulder bumping, feeling completely at ease in the presence of his mate. The meditation he'd been doing with Rebecca helped, but there was no greater comfort than being with Patrick. The question caused Killian's thoughts to pause briefly. That was a good question. "I'm not really sure. Becca said the amount of time spent depends on how well once picks up on what has to be taught. We've been focusing fairly heavily on mediation," he explained.

Killian had never realized just how much work mediation actually was. He would no longer take it for granted. He silently wondered what else he would have to do and how much strain it would add to his already tight schedule. Killian still had to speak with their Ulfric about working on the pack lands to save some energy. "No, no plans," he stated before looking to Patrick. Blinking slightly, a smile appeared on his lips. "That actually sounds really, really good. Just like the break I need," he commented, nodding slightly.

While they talked the manged to put the distance to the pack house away pretty quickly. Getting distracted by the person you were talking to was a good way to lost track of everything else though. He rubbed his shoulder against Killian's once more not bothering to move away this time when he was done. He kept the line of his body tucked into Killian's even as he spotted the pack house in the distance. He offered a smile before digging into his pocket.

"You pick out the movies and I'll gather the food?" He unlocked the door and stepped back so that Killian could make his way inside. He grabbed up the stack of bills that were laying on the table looking for anything that had his or Killian's name on it. When it looked like neither had any mail he glanced over at Killian. "Meet you in five.. clothing not allowed." He pointed a finger at Killian the moved off to grab some snack food out of the kitchen.

Two minutes later he was kicking the door closed behind himself as he entered Killian's bed room. TO be honest it was both their rooms now. He hadn't really slept in his room since Killian had punched a hole in his wall. He plopped the chips and soft drinks onto the end of the bed. "So what kind of movies did you pick out?" He glanced around attempting to find Killian and see if he was wearing cloths still or not.

The closeness put both Killian and his wolf at ease. They were both content to be beside Patrick. Such was the way with mates, he supposed. He was in no way opposed to it as it felt like he hadn't really seen his mate in ages. Most of his time had been consumed with training. Day after day, night after night. It never seemed to end. Killian was looking forward to the day when he could finally just collapse in a heap of Alpha-ness and just be done for a couple days.

At Patrick's question, the wolf found himself nodding. It was an automatic response as there were few times he could say no to his mate. Not because it wasn't allowed, but because the things he asked were never that great and there was no point in arguing about them. Besides, the last movie night they had, if Killian recalled correctly, Patrick had picked out the movies.

A slight grin appeared on his lips at the rule that was made. No clothes allowed. Something Killian was getting more used to as the days progressed. Moving the opposite direction of the other wolf, he moved to his room and flicked through the movies, picking out a variety. After tossing them on the bed, he tugged his shirt off which was closely followed by the removal of his jeans. That left him in boxers by the time Patrick appeared.

He pointed to the bed at the question. "I pulled out three. Figured we can pick from there," he stated. Accepted, Fast and Furious, and Van Helsing. Three good movies if he said so himself. Obviously, otherwise he wouldn't own them.
