Venice, the Italian city of water ways and festivals, masquerades and balls. The city of romance and life but beneath the joviality and parties lay darker things. Vampires roam the night and lycanthropes howl at the moon. Do you dare take residence?

Rebecca

Rebecca
Il clan dell'onda - Ulfric

It has been a few months since she took over as Ulfric and the business that came from that night. She could understand now how the Ulfric had been able to live such a grand life while some of the pack struggled each day. It had caused such a sickening pit in her stomach for so long she had spent a good portion of the in come to go towards the things that so desperately needed patching up, or gave it to pack members to help boost their own situation.

It didn't help that she had found the log of the Ulfric and came to learn that he had made a secret deal with the past Master of the City, a deal that would have gone sour in time and ruined the Lukoi. She had also found other things that were disturbing, and she was now currently working on undoing some of these activities. However so far she did not have any luck. She was quite sure she'd have to speak with the other shifters and make them understand that the need to rid of these darker and more dangerous activities was great.

She then shook her as she cleared her thoughts. That was not the point of coming out...onto some random roof. She had come to listen. Listen to the soothing sounds of the water, of the soft murmur of people as they took their Gondola rides, and the activities of the local restaurants on the river's edge. This was to relax. To get all of her tension out, and enjoy the cool evening of Venice. She had just left the pack back at the pack house as the arguing had grown to ridiculous proportions on whether or not they should...play a simple card game or do something else for that night. She had made it clear that she did approve as her aura had lashed out to anyone near her as she left. She heard one of the alpha's start to take control, one that she was beginning to trust more over others, and allowed them to take over.

Such an explosion had been one of many in the last few weeks, and up on this roof top she could think clearly. Which was good as she was working on a new chain of command...if her mind would just stop wondering all over the place. She took in a deep breath to clear her mind again, and then in a blink of an eye she was on her feet as she heard the sound of someone approaching.

The shift was supposed to end around 2’am. Most of the officers would go home and keep their buzzer on if any reports came in on the middle of the night, but one officer was always required to stand post at the station to monitor activities, answer the phones. Unfortunately work in the pre-natural world didn’t end on the weekends. Like a doctor, Misha was constantly hovering around the office- she hardly had time to do anything but take care of trespassing charges and haul offenders into court. This was voluntary on her part. The higher tops had told her more than once that she could go home for the nightshift and they would arrange for someone else to cover it; but every time, Misha stuck it out and claimed what she assumed was her rightful place.

Tonight was like acid stop; the minute she’d checked in at 7:30pm she’d been told to go home. The wolf, rather fiercely, argued with all of her passion to stay. But an order was an order, and once it had been given to her by a superior, she had to comply. Begrudgingly, she left, trekking home and deciding to walk through the city a round before going home. She figured, if she could sense any of her pack she’d greet them and get caught up in the affairs of wolves. It had been three solid days since she had any real time to dedicate to her mates, and that was stressful.

Rounding up Canal Ways, immediately Misha sensed a familiar presence. She could tell the new leader of the pack and her occasional sex partner, Rebecca, was around her somewhere. Glancing around her eyes shifted to wolf form to enhance her night vision. Without much scanning she found the Ulfric stationed on top of a building, and she snuck her way around, climbing up a side latter and trekking the rest of the way up. There might have been a door somewhere but Misha wasn’t the type that would use one- especially with her physique and abilities.

Her feet touched the loose graveled pavement of the roof and her eyes returned to normal. She was wearing her typical attire; tight fitting jeans and a black tank top, along with some leather fingerless gloves.

“You mind?” Misha asked as she stationed herself next to Rebecca, looking down the lengths of the body that she was quite familiar with.

Rebecca relaxed a bit as she noticed it was just Misha. Misha...a lower ranking Alpha, but damn good in bed...if not what appeared to be an insatiable sexual hunger. She made another mental note to try and find a way to teach her better control. In her mind she felt it was because of the lack of periodic heats for the female bitches in the pack, and well...she had noticed that more of the females of late were more active then usual.

"Not at all," Rebecca said as she looked back down to the water. She trusted Misha. She had earned it after everything that had happened in the last year. Tonight, Rebecca was actually wearing jeans instead of her standard leather pants, and she shoved her hands into the pockets. Her shirt was a leather top with red roses going down the center and only two buttons were done up. "Why are you out? Didn't you have to work?" she asked Misha curiously as she looked back over her shoulder at the woman.

She let her eyes roam over her body, a body that she was familiar with...and just might re-familiarize herself with soon, if not tonight. She then let her brown eyes roam up to her face again as she waited for an answer.

“When am I not working?”

An exasperated sigh released from her lips and she closed the distance between her and Rebecca, nuzzling up close to her. It was always comforting to be wolf among wolf, and it was even Better when it was someone you had faith in, someone who was your leader, someone who had experience.

“Officer S. Vanvalkenburg took bite out of my night. Sent me home, I should be working until 2. I was heading home and I wanted to check my perimeters before checking off duty; thought I might see one of my own on the way.”

By this time her head was resting on Rebecca’s shoulder, who was oh but an inch taller.

“Looks like I found one, too.”

Thinking about their fond memories together and the way that Rebecca had taken authority over the clan with such a brilliant plan, Misha’s throat croaked in her state of familiarity. It felt nice to be able to re-charge. She’d really missed everybody these past few days.

“I really need to hear the what’s what with us. What’s going on in the Lukoi besides your new promotion?”

Rebecca smirked a bit on Misha's frustration. She had drive in her, and that was good. She was hoping that the drive in the alphas would help with the betas and omegas on the shift of power. "Well...not that often honestly," she said as her wolf stretched out with in, and she shuddered a bit from it as her aura also stretched out to envelope Misha in a feel of calm.

"Good man then. You might be more enhanced the humans Misha, but you can still run yourself ragged," Rebecca said as a slight frown creased her face in concern. She could understand on checking Perimeters. Rebecca did it now and then herself to see if any new wolves and crossed in.

The weight of Misha's head on her shoulder was a comforting feeling. It helped that the feel of it was wolf. She turned her head so that she could look down at Misha a bit. "Yes...the best of them all I would say," she said chuckling lightly before looking out over the water again.

Rebecca heard the slight croak and looked down at Misha out of the corner of her eye before turning more so she could look right at her. "Going on? Well..." she sighed a bit, "still haven't found anyone strong enough or trust worthy enough for my Freki or Geri. I don't want a power structure again that works with fear. I want trust, but I also know some fear will be in there just to keep my spot. They seem to whine about everything, and it's hard to think and watch. Tonight...everyone was really fighting about what activity to do tonight."

She sighed a bit as her eyes closed and the memory returned. "I walked out. That one alpha...the tall and blond male one..." she said hoping that Misha would know who she was talking about as the name had slipped her mind, "he was getting everyone in order when I was leaving. He seems to be improving in attitude since I took over. Some of the Beta's are doing better too now that they are not being raped or used by the others." She said giving her the run down as her wolf opened up to hers, ready to accept any greeting hers chose to give in that metaphysical way.
