The weather was warm and brought a smile to Killian's face. He'd been spending all of his time lately with Patrick. Whether they were relaxing or working on the bike, they spent just about every minute together. Today, however, Killian had decided to take a break from the bike to go out and see if he could find anything else for them to do at some point in time. He'd told Patrick about it so that the older wolf wouldn't have to worry. Killian wasn't quite sure if he was a worrier or not, but decided that it was best to let him know just in case.

Walking through the streets dressed in a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, Killian was the image of calm and happy. His face seemed to glow and only those within the pack would know why it held such a look. While Killian had been with many people, he'd never had the strong feelings that came when he was with Patrick. The male was constantly on his mind and, while it was nice, it didn't let him get much done. When he began work, he knew that he would have to get his mind straightened out. Just to make sure he'd be able to keep it.

With a soft sigh, he ran a hand through his hair and stopped near one of the fountains. Taking a seat on the nearby bench, his eyes closed as he allowed the sun to wash over him, warming both man and beast. After a moment, his eyes opened and looked around, his brow creased slightly. Someone was nearby. He couldn't quite place who it was and his guard was immediately up.

Marcus was following up on a potential cook position at a restaurant. Dillon had said he wanted him to have a safe job...well what job is safer then working for what he had gone to school for? Yeah a chef would be better, but he still had stuff to finish up for that. He was cutting across the plaza where the fountain was to get to the location. He didn't think he had to be quiet, and when he heard noise of someone moving, he snapped his head up in a slight panic.

He was still recovery from getting pulled out of a nasty ring he was in during the last few years of the war, and he was jumpy. Ok so jumpy was an understatement as he was about to bolt before he got the scent of the person. He blinked as he thought it smelled familiar but wasn't sure how. His lion was still tense...still trying to urge him to just run the rest of the way across. However Marcus was too curious to know why that scent smelled familiar.

Coming around the fountain more, he saw an attractive young man, and he sniffed at the air to see if he was anything. "Hi...I'm sorry if I startled you," he said giving an apologetic grin.

The fountain was a peaceful place to be. The soft bubbling of the spout was a sound that he found to be relaxing. All the thoughts that raced in his mind seemed to calm down and slow their pace. The headache that he'd felt coming on began to subside. He didn't want a headache right now. It was a nice day and that meant he had to find something to do.

He caught sight of someone from the corner of his eye. With an intake of breath, he placed the scent to that of lion and relaxed slightly. "No, not startle. Surprise perhaps," he said, offering a small smile. He studied the other male for another moment before motioning him over. Killian allowed his eyes to scan over the lion once again before nodding a bit.

"I'm Killian. Who might you be," he asked, his head cocking to the side.

Marcus drew closer, and as he did the scent of wolf was a bout him. When he got the name of the wolf it didn't trigger anything. "I'm Marcus," he said as he offered a hand to him in greeting. That was the right thing to do after all, "the next top chef of Venice....or so I hope to be." He said as his grin got a little bigger.

Now that he was closer he picked up a more subtle hint of a wolf he had be friend named Patrick. "I'm sorry if I'm stepping on some toes, but...do you know Patrick? He's another wolf that I met a while ago," He said to explain of why he was asking, "and his scent is on you a little." He said blushing a bit.

Killian nodded and took the hand. Hearing the added greeting, he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Well, that's a decent hope to have," he said with a grin. The lion's scent and name were not familiar and he made sure to put it to his memory.

Hearing the other wolf's name, he tensed slightly before relaxing and nodding. "Yes...Patrick is my boyfriend," he said, offering a smile at putting Patrick and boyfriend in the same sentence in reference to himself. Clearing his throat, he scratched the back of his neck. "So...you met Patrick?"

He smiled a bit, "oh well that would explain why your guys scent dominates more under yours." He said, and then gave a nod of his head.

"Yeah we met about a week or so ago in the plaza. I had just gotten some lunch and it was busy with tourists. Couldn't find a place to sit and eat," he said as he took a seat not thinking it would hurt to rest a moment, "He was polite enough to make room for me, and we kept each other company while we ate."

He tilted his head a bit, "granted I didn't ask if he had anyone. Didn't think I had the right to ask...and I was pretty jittery then too." He said blushing a little at the memory as he took a casual glance around and rubbed the back of his neck.

He looked back to him, "so what are you doing out here alone? Aren't you afraid of...I don't know...getting jumped or something?" he asked him, and the slight waver in his voice showed that he might fear it himself.

Killian smiled and picked up on the slight unease that Marcus seemed to have. He heard what Patrick had done and his gaze softened as did the smile on his face. "That most definitely sounds like Patrick He's usually happy to led a hand or a seat if the person's kind enough," he said, nodding a bit.

After a moment, he moved to take a seat near the lion and nodded a bit. He wasn't quite sure why the male's cheeks had flushed, but figured there was no need to worry. He trusted Patrick after all.

"Actually, no, not really. I haven't had any issues with being jumped before. Though, I suppose there is a first time for everything." After a moment he turned to smile at the lion again. "Besides, I hear people are less likely to be jumped if there's more than one and if they're male."

Marcus thought on that, silent a moment, and wished that had been true years ago. Perhaps now with the old Master dead, they didn't need to worry about it any more. "Well that is good. It's always pleasant to hear that the streets and plaza's are not troubled with such things," he said and then looked him over again with a puzzled look.

"If you have such a nice boyfriend....why are you out here by yourself?" he asked out of curiosity and probably didn't realize he was prying a little, "I mean...if I had someone as kind as Patrick...I would hardly stand the thought of being away from them." At the mention of this an image of a male lion did pop into his head. He mentally shook himself so that he could listen to any reply that was given.

Killian offered a smile at the question. "Believe me, parting myself from his was quite a hard task," he said. Running a hand through his hair, he mussed it further before sighing softly. "We've been working on fixing up a bike and figured that we'd need something else to do after that's done. So, I let Pat know that I was going to go see if there was anything to keep us occupied," he stated, shrugging slightly.

Yes, it was hard to part himself from Patrick's side. He'd quickly become addicted to the other wolf and found going anywhere without him to be a challenge. After a moment he pulled himself out of his thoughts and offered Marcus another smile. "What brings you out here," he asked, his head tilting.

He gave an ahh sound as he told why he was out and about. He then looked around and smirked a little teasing like. "Well...this doesn't look like it would be too productive to do," he said taking a light jab at him. He then blinked as he had to recall why he was out in this part of town.

"Oh...right..." he said as if answering a question to himself, "I'm following up on a lead for a job. My mentor wants me to get something safe, and he's just now deemed me ready to be back in public again." He said blushing a little, "well safe enough to get a job any way. I've been out before hand." He said grinning a little more.

Killian chuckled a bit and looked around before shaking his head. "No, it really doesn't. Though I suppose we could always end up pushing each other into the fountain. Not sure that's legal, but I guess that would actually make it a little more fun," the wolf said, a small grin on his face.

Hearing Marcus' reasoning for being this way, he nodded slightly. As the lion continued to explain, his brows creased before he heard more. "So you haven't been...Diagnosed that long," he asked, choosing his wording carefully should it fall on human ears. He knew that Marcus wasn't an Alpha but hadn't gotten close enough to decipher whether he was Omega or Beta.

He grinned a bit at the idea as there was one or two person's in his life that it could be fun with. If things even went right he might even get extra fun out of it back at the pride house. Just thinking of it caused his cheeks to flush a little before he heard what Killian had to say.

He shook his head slightly, "Nah I've been diagnosed for seven years now." He said in assurance, "no...this is...something that happened with me due to the war that had gone on." he explained. He never went into detail unless the person asked, and even when they did he always warned them it wasn't a nice story. Not to mention few people even knew about the underground circuit.

Looking around again to make sure there were no humans around, he let his guard down enough that his energy would be felt by the wolfs and he'd feel that he was about an average beta. His lion sniffed at the air in curiosity.

His head tilted as he waited for the lion to answer. His response caused Killian's expression to turn a little confused. Hearing something about a war, his brows creased slightly. Opening his mouth to ask a question, it closed as he felt the energy of the lion.

Slowly, his wolf peeked out and sniffed at the other male, putting his scent into memory. After he had finished that, his head tilted, studying Marcus carefully. Killian was silent for a moment as he shifted words around in his head.

"Um..I'm not trying to pry but..war," he said, his tone curious and questioning.

Marcus blinked as it sounded like Killian didn't know of the fighting that had happened. All the lions had known, but then they were smaller then the wolves he supposed. "Yeah...the one that the old Master started from their greed of power?" he asked just in case maybe he was confused, "I mean I guess maybe some people could not have been touched...but..." his own face looking confused.

He rubbed the back of his head, looking a bit unsure now, and he did a casual glance around before looking back to him. "If you weren't involved in any way you should count yourself lucky," he said smiling a bit to the wolf.

Killian's gaze remained confused until Marcus said about the old master. Slowly, the wolf nodded, knowing now what was being discussed. The war he spoke of made sense now. "I have heard of it, yes," he said, his eyes lowering for a moment.

"I wasn't involved in it, but I believe members of my pack were. I'd have to talk to the Ulfric to be certain," Killian said, sighing softly. A hand rose and he rubbed the back of his neck before tilting it to each side, making a sound of contentment as he heard the bones stretch and crack. "Anyhow, since going this way would appear to be pointless, would you care to grab a cup of coffee?"

Marcus smiled a bit and nodded, "Yeah sure." he said standing up and stretched a little himself. His lion taking advantage to stretch out too. He then looked back down to him, "so you do you have a recommended place for Coffee? I don't drink it that much," he said with a light chuckle before he waited for Killian to lead the way. So far everyone he had met from the pack seemed nice. Maybe he could let his new Rex know. He thought he had heard something about making a treaty or something like that.

He followed Killian down the road as they walked, "so...do you do anything job wise?" he asked curiously. The silence was starting to get to him a little. As much as a lion liked it to stalk it's prey, Marcus was not that type of lion.

"The place I frequent most is The Howler, the coffee shop on Lukoi lands," he said. Running a hand through his hair as they walked, he spoke again. "Though I hear there's a place not far from here that serves a good cup as well." His senses remained alert just to be on the safe side. He wasn't really in the mood for some random sneak attack, though he doubted it would happen.

"As for a job, I'm working in ticket sales at Il teatro di anima," he said. Working there had been alright. However, he was thinking about going to Rebecca about employment on their own lands. It would be safer and if he pissed anyone off he would deal with his Ulfric as opposed to a vampire. "I might look into some employment at our own lands."

Marcus nodded his head at the job thing, "I tried all the eating places on Pride land but there small so it's not often they get openings. So I figured try the plaza where things are neutral, and Dillon could still keep a better eye on me then else where." He said chuckling a little at the thought of Dillon. He rubbed the back of his head and followed after Killian.

"Oh you're working at the theater? I had heard it was back up and running. How is it?" He asked as he was toying, just toying, with the idea of going to see a play with Pierce. That lion had really worked his way into his head, and he figured he might as well get him out of his system by going on a date, see that he really was a jerk, and then be done with it. Though a part of him deep down didn't think that would happen. That it was hoping it wouldn't happen.

Killian nodded slightly. "There aren't exactly 'food' places on Pack lands. We've got a few clubs and some shops," the wolf said. He figured that a talk with the Ulfric and a small amount of training, he could have a job down like the back of his hand in no time. At least, that was what he thought. Then again, his confidence around pack dealings had grown a bit since Becca had taken over.

"It's pretty good. I haven't been able to catch complete shows, but I've stopped in once or twice on a break," he said with a slight shrug of his shoulders. His eyes wandered around until he spotted the small coffee shop. "Ah, there it is." He pointed in a diagonal direction and nodded towards it slightly. He offered Marcus a smile as they made the last few paces to the shop.

He gave a nod of his head to show he understood about food places. It seemed almost like all the food places was left out of shifter lands to almost make then mingle with each other. Or perhaps they just didn't have a good cook with them. He then had a thought pop into his head. Why not ask Dillon or the Rex to open up a restraunt in Pride lands? He'd be more then willing to be the chef once he finished schooling. Which was his next task of calling his teacher.

He looked up as they reached the coffee shop and took in a deep breath. Things smelled real good, but he wasn't quite sure it was safe to have coffee or not. He'd just order tea or hot chocolate. He followed the wolf and listened to what he said about the theater. "What kind of plays do they do? Comedy, horror, fantasy?" he asked curiously.

At the question, Killian offered a slight shrug. "All different types. Sometimes even combined like they do with movies. It's different, that much I can say," the wolf said with a bit of a grin. He had never really been big on anything that he couldn't enjoy from the comfort of his own home, but he supposed that plays had their own unique charm. If you liked them anyways.

He offered a smile to the man behind the counter and spoke. "I'll have hot chocolote topped with whipped cream," he said. Killian's eyes turned and motioned with his head for Marcus to go an order. "Since I invited, it's on me. You can get the next," the young wolf said with a grin.

Upon learning what they did, Marcus made a note to go check out the theater...and find out what Pierce liked to watch. He was very tempted to ask the other lion out, but...he hadn't quite gotten to that point yet on confidence. Good thing he had some time to learn more about him and find out what's playing before having to figure out how to talk the lion into it.

He smiled at the mention of who was paying, "Yeah no problem." He said and walked up to the counter, "I'd like hot coco as well, whip cream with a touch of mint to it." he said placing his order. He wasn't sure why but he rather liked minty chocolate. He then looked back to Killian.

"So are you a long term resident then?" he asked wondering how much he had been oblivious to before being taken. He was normally pretty good at watching and noticing people...but well it was like those memories were a long time ago and he needed to get them jump started.
