Killian ran a hand down the front of his shirt. Today he was at the theatre to inquire about getting a job. He was dressed rather neatly with a pair of black dress pants and a red silk button-up shirt. That morning he made sure to shower and shave, trying to give off the best impression he possibly could. He needed a job desperately if he wished to continue living in a building. He couldn't fathom the idea of living on the streets after everything that had happened in his past. A shudder ran down his spine and his head shook, a hand raising to run through his dark hair. The wolf wasn't sure if this was the best idea, but it was the only one he had. He saw that they had been hiring and he was going to answer that call. Hopefully snag himself the job and the money.

Entering the large building, he glanced around, unsure just where to go. Going to a desk, he spoke quietly. "I'm here to speak with the manager about the job opening." A young man looked up and nodded before making a call. He spoke quickly before hanging up and standing, motioning for Killian to follow. Hesitantly, the male did so. With each step, his confidence faded and came back. He wasn't sure just what he was going to say. Formalities hadn't been a bright spot in his life, but for the sake of a job, Killian knew he was going to have to recall everything he had ever learned. This job was an important thing and getting it was his priority.

The door to the office opened and Killian was ushered in before jumping slightly as the door shut. His eyes scanned the room, trying to get a hint of who he was going to be speaking with. Much to his dismay, he was unable to pick up anything. Other than the obvious of said manager being a vampire. Glancing at a chair, he moved towards it, unsure if he was to sit or not. Deciding on the safer bet, he remained standing.

He'd been caught up, someone had ripped their costume five minutes before they had to go on and whilst China was a dab hand with a needle for trousers or shirts, he didn't have the slightest clue about sewing dresses back together. He'd had to find someone and they had only just managed to fix the dress before the performer went on. He would certainly be having words later but for now he was late for an interiew and in a sour mood. He just hoped that whoever it was he was supposed to interview wasn't a complete waste of time.

Readjusting his pale blue suit and white shirt he made his way back to his office, opened the door and stepped inside before shutting the door behind him with a click. He didn't even look as he started walking, waving at the person to sit down in the chair across from his desk. Taking his own seat he finally looked up at the male across from him. He looked presentable enough, handsome in a fan girlish sort of way and suited the attire he had chosen for the interview. It was time for the questions now though and he hoped that he wasn't wasting his breath. Taking a pen from his desk he found his interview sheets and poised, ready for writing.

"I'm China-Rose, the manager here. Rumour has it that you're enquiring about a job. Let's start with the easy questions. What's your name, date of birth and species?"

It may have seemed odd to ask what species the male was but China needed to know in case he did get the job. Couldn't have him coming to work during the full moon if he was a shifter after all, just as China himself couldn't work during the day.

Killian heard footsteps approaching and glanced at the door as it opened. He remained silent, unsure as to how the entire process worked. The man before him radiated with power and Killian figured it was best to tread lightly and be careful of what he said. Seeing the motion to take a seat, he stepped around the chair and slowly sat down, his eyes giving one last glance around the room before turning back to the man who had just introduced himself as China-Rose. The male simply nodded as China said he was inquiring about a job. Keep yourself together.

At the questions, Killian sat up a little more, cleared his throat and spoke. "Killian James. Born 4-16-1988. Species, lycanthrope, Lukoi." His voice wasn't threatening, but it was strong. He spoke with confidence that he thought he'd lost. Thank heavens for good surprises. It was difficult, but the wolf forced himself not to fidget in front of his potential boss. He didn't need to make a bad impression and so far had no idea on how he was doing. With baited breath, he waited for the next set of questions.

Nodding quickly, China jotted down the answers that he was given. The male, Killian, was twenty two and to China that was young. Of course he was one thousand so anything below five hundred was young to him. A wolf too, Lukoi. As far as China was aware, the Lukoi in the area were only a small pack but then he was only taking Malafesant's word on that. She was the only vampire able to call the wolves in this area and as such had full reign. Then again, China was the only vampire able to call ghosts in the whole of Europe so he couldn't really complain or say much of anything.

Looking up once more, China looked at Killian expectantly. He should have brought a CV with him and if he hadn't then it would damage his chances. It was in the advertisement after all. Reaching out a long fingered hand he waited patiently for the CV as he spoke in a firm but nice tone.

"So, Killian, could you tell me a little about yourself and why you've applied for this job?"

It was a simple moment before something Killian's mind clicked and pulled open the left side of his jacket, pulling out the CV he'd temporarily forgotten about. His mind was in a state of disarray due to the simple fact that he didn't know just what he she have been doing. His life was spent either with his parents or with the Lukoi back in Rome. He hadn't needed to worry about everything else before, but now he needed it all. It had taken him a day or so to get everything typed up and he was hoping he'd done everything correctly.

"Well, I've been Lukoi for five years. I believe I have a strong work ethic and I applied for this job for two reasons. One, I've always had an interest in seeing the workings of a theatre. The second reason being that I really need a job to help keep the place I have right now," he said. After that, he was quiet again, giving China-Rose a chance to look things over. He had no idea if he was doing this entire thing right or not.

Nodding, China listened to the very brief answer before looking over the young males CV. Everything seemed in order but he had no real experience when it came to well.....anything. The most he could actually offer Killian was either a job at the ticket booth, concession stand or a job as a porter. Given the second reason for Killian's application, China would have loved to give Killian the day managers job but he just did not have what was needed experience wise. He did need staff though and was sure that they could coe to some sort of agreement.

Placing the CV down on the desk, China laced his fingers together and leant forwards. He was interested in taking the male on and would do his best to help him out.

"Killian, could you expand a little more on yourself? What are your strengths, weaknesses? What do you like to do in your spare time? That kind of thing. You see as things stand, this job is out of your league, you don't have the experience needed for it but i am willing to give you a different job, something more suited until you can get the experience you need and either be a manager elsewhere or move up the ladder here. I just.....need to know where i can fit you in."

Killian's mind moved around, thinking of everything he was able to do. "Well, I'm a great people person. I'm able to talk through most problems and can be one hell of a negotiator." He had a way with words when it came to things like that. While he had his own opinions, he was a haggler and often times got people to see things his way. Especially if he knew what he was talking about. That alone made him fairly decent for business.

"Weaknesses...Obviously basic lycanthrope things. I can get a little defensive and can seem arrogant sometimes, but I don't believe it normally lasts all that long. And yes, job experience hasn't exactly been my strong point. Most things I've done have been here and there and didn't last long due to the initial infection. I hadn't been able to hold a job because of the stress that came with learning everything." Those times had been some of the worst in the young man's life. Thankfully, that entire aspect was over.

What China was hearing was not the best thing in the world but it was the truth. Perhaps Killian didn't know that he could taste truth from lie and everything and it was just his nature to go for truth. That was a good thing though because if he had lied, China would have shown him the door within two minutes. Now he had some information though and he had to expand on that to know exactly where he stood with this Killian.

"Alright. Do you have any stress problems now? Any problems keeping your temper or anything like that? The safety of our customers is of paramount importance. After all, if they don't feel safe amongst vampires, lycanthropes and human of varying preternatural ability then they won't come back."

He wanted to see the males reaction to this. It wasn't every day that you basically got told there would be issues giving someone a job because whilst they may have been lycanthrope they just weren't controlled enough. Usually it was just because they were lycanthrope but despite the issues between the shifter community and the kiss, China found that he had hired quite a few over the last year. Maybe it was a sign that things were getting better under Donovan's rule. China hoped so.

At the next question, Killian mulled it over for a bit before giving a reply. "I don't believe so. The only time my temper really shows up is when the full moon is upon me. Anything that would normally irritate me that I could push aside, would be a little tougher to handle. Otherwise, I'm fairly certain my temper and stress are in check. I'm able to bite my tongue when I have to so that helps me out quite a bit." The male thought that answer was worded correctly. He did have a sufficient amount of control over the wolf within him and for that, he was grateful.

Killian sat up a little straighter and offered China a kind smile. He hadn't taken the question offensively at all. In fact, he understood why the question had to be asked. If he wasn't able to control himself, there was no way he would hire himself. The last thing he wanted was to snap and attack someone. Killian had to thank his old Ulfric and pack for all the help he'd received when it came to controlling his animal.

China nodded, it was a good answer to the question and Killian didn't seem to be offended by it. Well, at least he seemed to understand what the question was for. It seemed that despite his young age, Killian had a good head on his shoulders as well as seeming to be reliable. All things considered really, the young brunette would be a good addition to the theatres front of house team. The grace he gained as a lycanthrope would be well met as well.

Nodding slowly, China seemed to come to a rather quick decision and slid his desk open. He had two more interviews to do that day but he had a nice idea of where he would like to put Killian. Standing, the pale vampire held his hand out to the wolf and waited ntil it was taken to shake it, carefully guiding Killian to the door with a non aggressive action. He opened the door with a flourish and gestured Killian out, there was already his next interview sat waiting for the vampire.

"Thank you Killian, i will call you later today to let you know my decision."

Seeing the hand, Killian reached out and shook it with a small smile. He let the vampire lead him out of the office and nodded at his words. "Thank you for your time," he said. With that, the wolf made his way off, loosening his tie. Releasing a sigh, he smiled, feeling somewhat confident as to how his meeting had gone. Running a hand through his hair, he decided to go to lunch and hope to later receive a call with good news.

It had been a long and hard night. He'd had interviews to conduct plus mini disasters to fix backstage and really he hadn't had a chance to think over the candidates. Between running around like a headless chicken and running around like a headless chicken, he really hadn't managed to get everything done. The theatre had finished its production for the night now though and he could relax finally. Or he would, fter he'd reviewed these interviews.

Sighing softly, the pale vampire settled behind his desk and started reviewing the notes he had made. Killian's was off to the side as he knew he was a deffinate no for the day managers job but the other three had potential. Of course, just because they had potential didn't mean that they would actually get the job. Rubbing his eyes China sighed once more. All three candidates were missing a vital point each and they were all different points. This was going to be difficult so with a change of tactic, China picked up Killian's CV and searched for the phone number. Finding it he dialled quickly and waited as the phone rang. It picked up after the third ring.

"Killian, this is China-Rose. I've reviewed your job application and whilst i can't offer you the day managers position i would still like to offer you the chance to work for me at front of house. More specifically in ticket sales. Would you be willing to take that position?"

The young wolf had been relaxing on his couch when the phone went off. Initially, he had been planning to let the machine pick it up, but as soon as that thought came to his mind, he realized that the call could be about the job. With the speed that humans didn't possess, he darted for the phone and picked it up at the third ring.

"Killian James speaking."

The next words caused him to look to the sky. He was glad he'd answered the phone. If he hadn't, it was a potential risk of a job. He listened quietly as the vampire spoke, nodding slightly. Mentally he hit himself due to the fact that he couldn't be seen. "Um, yeah. That, that'd be great. When do you want me to start?"

China smiled in to his side of the phone as the jo offer was accepted. Taking a quick look at the rotas for the next week he frowned. It was full moon so next week would not be a good time to start, perhaps if he started the week after it would be better for everyone. Cradling the phone between his ear and shoulder, China rustled through the papers on his desk to find the rota for the next two weeks and made a triumphant niose as he found them on his mess of a desk.

"Let's see, the shifter i'm having training you will be in on Tuesday 8th June. You'll be doing all the shifts that she's on so she can show you what to do, her name is Mylene. Your first day starts at five pm and you finish at two am with a one huor break to eat or do whatever it is you want to do. Is that understood?"

Killian pulled out his calendar and looked around, worrying his bottom lip in thought. Looking over his plans, he nodded again. "Hmm...Yeah, that looks like it'd be perfect. And completely understood," the wolf said, a small smile on his face. He was grateful for this job and was determined not to screw this job up. Now that he could control his animal, he hoped that he would be able to hold this position and work his way up.

China nodded once, twice before realising Killian couldn't see him. He may have known how to use a phone and how to use the basics of a computer but sometimes he forgot that the person he was speaking to couldn't see him. He always felt silly when he did it as well, like he hadn't caught himself in time despite knowing he would at some point do it.

"Good, i'll see you then. Dress smartly."

Without waiting for an answer China hung up the phone and then dialed another number. It would be rude of him not to let Mylene know what was happening and that he had chosen her for training the new recruit. After that he had more paperwork to do, the end of the week being a real killer so as much as he loved to gossip with Mylene, he would have to make it quick.

Killian nodded at the words before hearing the dial tone. Well, that was that. Placing the phone back on it's charger, he made his way back to the couch, sprawling across it with a sigh. After a moment, a silly smile came to his lips. He had a job. That meant that he would be able to keep living where he was and would be able to get any necessities taken care of that we needed.

Closing his eyes, he folded his arms behind his head, before allowing himself to drift off for a night of rest.
